
OM Logistics Inaugurates Warehouse in Anantapur
Om Logistics Ltd,
a market leader in the segment, in order to accelerate its door-to-door express
service and further strengthen its warehousing network, has recently
inaugurated a new warehouse at Anantpur, Andhra Pradesh (South Zone) and a new
transport hub at Hodal, Haryana (North Zone).
Anantpur and Hodal are two strategically important locations for the
organization as per the growing industrial area developments.
Om Logistics has
commenced operations of its new warehouse, further empowering door-to-door
express services at Anantpur, especially to cater for the automobile industry
clients. Similarly, Hodal is the new
transportation hub of North zone. The new multipoint hub is associated with
a 50,000 square feet warehousing facility to cater to the increased express
transportation needs. The company is currently handling 500 to 600 tons of
cargo per day which is expected to be doubled shortly.
The Anantpur warehouse is
divided into two phases, the first phase warehouse
facility which is currently operational is spread over a covered area of 30,000
square feet and the company has worked efficiently to provide state-of-the-art
warehousing services to its niche clientele. The warehousing facility has an
inbuilt capacity to load or unload up to 20 vehicles at once, using hydraulic
machinery and wood and fibre pallets.
The company’s prime focus is to optimize cost
and time with efficient door-to-door express deliveries.
The organization
strongly follow all necessary and universally recognized standards in its
warehouses and has followed six basic warehousing procedures in this warehouse
which include receiving, physical quality check, storage, picking, packing, and
shipping. Currently, 30 to 40 tonnes of cargo per day is being successfully
handled at Anantapur, which is expected to be doubled in the coming time.
The second phase
of the warehouse, which is expected to come up by the beginning of the new
year, will have almost the same covered area. The ongoing expansion of
warehousing facilities and a transportation hub would be very helpful in
swiftly moving the door-to-door express services of Om Logistics Ltd.
