Several
employees of the Colombo Port have been directed to quarantine after COVID-19 positive
patients were detected on board a crude oil tanker on September 28th according
to Sri Lankan media reports.
The tanker arrived from India
The tanker
arrived in the country from India, and 17 COVID-19-positive cases were
discovered on board. The Colombo Port has also taken steps to request that the
tanker depart from Sri Lankan waters as soon as possible.
