Adani Ports which owns Ports and
Container terminals in both the Indian coasts has entered the West Bengal
waters for the first time when the Ahmedabad based company bagged a contract
from the Haldia port authorities for mechanization and up-gradation of a berth
in Haldia Dock Complex.
The berth capacity nearly four million tons per annum
The Kolkata Port trust which owns the
Haldia Port Complex said the project envisages incorporating environment
friendly and fully mechanized technology for handling dry bulk cargo. The berth
has a capacity of nearly four million tons per annum and the investment
involved will be around rs 300 crores.
