Gujarat Maritime University (GMU) inked
anMoU with APEC (Antwerp/Flanders Port Training Center) on 22nd April 2022 in
Mumbai at an Annual Reception hosted by Port of Antwerp Delegation on their
India visit to enhance co-operation and share vital experience between each
other.

Secretary – Gujarat Maritime Cluster exchanged the MoU with
Mr.KristofWaterschoot, Managing Director – APEC in the esteem presence ofMr.
Pierre-Emmanuel BRUSSELMANS, Consul General of Belgium in Mumbai, Mr.ShashiKiranShetty,
Chairman, Allcargo Logistics, ECU Worldwide and Gati Ltd., and Mr. Luc Arnouts,
Director International Relation – Port of Antwerp.
The establishment of Gujarat Maritime
University (GMU) was an endeavour by the Gujarat Maritime Board to provide a fillip
to this growth by bridging the knowledge gap within the industry.
The prime objective
of Gujarat Maritime University is to be a Global center of excellence in
maritime education, research and development, professional training and it aims to
enhance and increase the human capital and capacity of maritime industry both
in India and across the globe.
The aspiration is to serve the global
maritime community by producing educated and well trained professionals in the
maritime domain.
