The theme of the year was “Sustainable
Resource Use and Improving Ocean Health”.
To engage
with their employees and stake holders; APM Terminals scheduled various
activities like display of posters at the port/terminal, conducting awareness
sessions during toolbox talk, taking pledge on the environment, poster drawing
competition on the theme of “Improving Ocean Health”, making the “Best
out of Waste”, conducted a mock drill on chemical spillage, organized online
& offline quiz for employees, organized PUC camp in collaboration with IOCL
and carried out mass plantation by employees and their families.
APM Terminals also organized a beach
cleaning program in which
around 90 employees participated and collected ~ 275 kgs of plastic waste.
They
received tremendous response from the employees and their families who
participated wholeheartedly in all the activities and made the whole
celebration a grand success.
