Delhi Customs Brokers
Association (DCBA) along with Rotary Club of Vaishali and Icare Eye Hospital,
Noida organised a Free Eye Check Up Camp & Distribution of Free
Spectacles for valid driving license holders at the Transport Building of ICD
TKD, New Delhi, from February 14 to February 16, 2023. The Eye check up camp
was successfully concluded with around 200 drivers of various
transport/logistics companies availing of this facility.
The Commenting on this welfare programme for the larger interest of
the exim trade and logistics industry Mr Puneet Jain, President, DCBA said,
“Our association is duty-bound to accelerate the growth of the exim trade of
the country supported by seamless transport & logistics services. The
ambitious PM GatiShakti National Masterplan has put huge impetus on logistics
operation with required speed and support system in place. Accordingly, it is
of utmost importance for the industry to take care of the health of the drivers
for safe transportation. The free Eye Check Up & Free Spectacles for valid
driving license holders is one of the ongoing initiatives of DCBA collaborating
with Rotary Club of Vaishali, which would definitely encourage the industry
stakeholders and more NGOs to come forward to help the drivers/wheels of logistics
industry to facilitate foreign trade of the country.”

Singh Bhadoria, Hony. Secretary, DCBA stated that the event, which was held on
the Golden Jubilee year of the Association, has been very successful in terms
of its objective of reaching out the needy truck drivers who are the vital
elements of the entire supply chain/logistics operations. Delhi Customs Brokers
Association, being a part of the end-to-end logistics industry, is committed to
work for the wellbeing of the truck drivers through all possible means. The Eye
Check Up Camp & Distribution of Free Spectacles programme was one of such
endeavors. “We sincerely thank Rotary Club of Vaishali, Icare Eye Hospital,
CONCOR team at ICD TKD and ICD Transport Operators Association for their
support and joint initiatives to make this camp happened with great success.”
Mr Bhadoria also informed that more such programmes will be organized at other
ICDs in Delhi NCR region and IGI Airport Cargo Terminal, New Delhi
shortly.
