The focus given to Industrial and infrastructure development in
the budget presented to the state assembly on March 20 will help to make Tamil
Nadu to reach the top position in country’s Exports from the present third
position
Presently TN contribute around 9.5 per cent of India’s Exports by
export contribution of 30.5 Billion US Dollars
which will reach 100 Billion US dollars within 2030 due to the focus given
in the budget, Dr. Sakthivel, President of Federation of Indian Exporters
organization said.
While appreciating the Tamil Nadu government for their vision to
make the state a 1 Trillion dollar economy, Dr. A Sakthivel, said that the budget given right direction to reach
this target much ahead of 2030..
The proposal for setting up of New SIPCOT industrial parks in
Virudhunagar, Vellore, Kallakurichi and Coimbatore, Skill development center at SIPCOT, Hosur, allocation of More than Rs 3,200 crore for industries
department , 2 more factories to
manufacture non-leather footwear at
Ranipet and Kallakurichi; Rs 77,000 crore allotted for developing
mega power project to generate 14,500 MW of power by 2030 and focus on green
energy will go a long way in making Tamil Nadu the top performing state in
India in all aspect including employment generation, exports, GDP Growth and
Women empowerment.
Dr. Sakthivel also welcomed the
proposal to set up new textile park at Selam, Tidal park at Erode, Tirunelveli,
Chengalpattu. This will also help the state to become leader in service exports
apart from becoming global leader in Textile and Garments.
While welcoming the
move to give clearance to Coimbatore Metro rail project at a cost of Rs. 9000
Crores,
Dr. Sakthivel requested the Chief Minister to extend the project up to
Tirupur. The extension would connect Coimbatore Airport with the hosiery
town which will go a long way in making
the region attractive for global investors and buyers.
