‘FFFAI YLP 2023’ awarded to Nitesh Kumar of Balmer Lawrie; nominated for ‘FIATA YLP-YIFFA Award-2023’ from India

The Federation of Freight Forwarders’ Associations in India (FFFAI), a member of International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), representing India, has awarded the FFFAI Young Logistics Professionals Award for 2023 to Mr Nitesh Kumar, Assistant Marketing Manager, Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd. FFFAI has nominated him for  the ‘FIATA YLP-YIFFA Award-2023’ from India. Mr Nitesh Kumar is a B. Tech in Marine Engineering.

FFFAI annually invites nominations from young logistics professionals for the FIATA YLP Award, and there were several nominations received by the Federation this year too. The objective is to promote young logistics professionals from India to contest in the highly prestigious International Award, organised by FIATA along with TT Club.

Congratulating the winner and conveying his best wishes to all participants Mr Shankar Shinde, Chairman, FFFAI, on behalf of the juries and other members, said, “I am happy to note the enthusiasm of the participants to get the FIATA YLP YIFFA Award for India. This will showcase the Indian youth talent in logistics and also create leadership positions.” In his opinion, the Award attracts and encourages the next generation to look for opportunities in the logistics industry by choice to have new innovative talent in the industry. “It was good to witness last year FFFAI-nominated Avishkar Srivastava winning FIATA YLP Award for Asia Pacific Region and reaching the final runner up for FIATA YLP International Award. I am confident that we will be able to achieve this award for India this year as well with the capability of the candidate nominated,” said the FFFAI Chairman.

FFFAI had invited self-nominations from Logistics Service Providers to encourage/promote young logistics professionals to have international exposure by demonstrating domain knowledge with regard to logistics business and operations. The response was overwhelming.
