The Maharashtra Maritime board has announced closure of non-major Ports
like Ratnagiri in the Konkan coast in anticipation of the South West monsoon
which is scheduled to break in the West coast by the first week of June.
Due to the upcoming foul season, the Maharashtra Maritime Board (MMB) has announced that Ratnagiri port,
except Jaigad Port, will be closed for
shipping activities from May 26 May to August 31 August.
This includes closure of navigation for vessels in minor ports, according
to the Maritime board release..
