This expansion project, starting in September 2023, is
a strategic response to the increasing
demand for container handling capacity in the region.
The expansion plan includes the construction of
additional berths, state-of-the-art equipment, and improved infrastructure to
facilitate more efficient cargo handling. With this expansion, JSW aims to
bolster its position as a key player in the shipping and logistics industry,
enabling the terminal to accommodate larger vessels and handle a higher volume
of containers.
This move aligns with the broader goal of enhancing
trade connectivity and boosting economic growth in the coastal region of
Mangalore, Karnataka, India. The
expansion is anticipated to bring in new opportunities for businesses and
