Dakshin Bharat Gateway Terminal
started the year 2023 with progressive swing in handling volumes despite several
hurdles that grabbed entire logistics worldwith fear of unbalanced supply and
demand.
The year with extreme challenges were
met with more proactive and diligent approaches. With lot of novel strategies
and associations with newer networks, DBGT overcame the stringent times with
great confidence and devoted approach towards every stakeholder/customer.
We had a special delegation from Port
of Colombo including Chairman of SLPA, representatives from JCT, SAGT &
CICT, whom had a brief addressing session at Tuticorin Port.
DBGT’s commitment to International
Standards including Environmental Management System (EMS), has garnered
internationally recognized ISO 14001:2015 and GREEN TERMINAL by Bureau veritas.
It was a good addition during 2023
with new service that directly connects Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam & China
with a direct service of China-India 7 (CI7 Service) and a direct service to
Mundra as another feather in the cap.
A rememberable moment during 2023 is
when DBGT was honored with a distinguished award of “Maritime Excellence in
Global ESG initiatives” at Global India Maritime Summit (GMIS 2023) held at
Mumbai during October 2023, which was jointly organized by Ministry of Ports,
Shipping and Waterways, FICCI & Indian Ports Association.
DBGT has again proved its credibility
on addressing the commitment to customersby ensuring uninterrupted vessel
operations even during the most terrified natural calamity witnessed during month
of December 2023
Though the EXIM Trade was overshadowed
with numerous concerns of supply chain disruptions due to recessional fears and
geopolitical apprehensions, DBGT could manage to attain the growth in handling
Exports and overall throughput comparing previous year.
The Management has great respect towards
every stakeholder for being supportive and thanked every fellow DBGTian for the
dedicated work and being supportive during every circumstances.
