The Indian Naval Hydrographic Department
(INHD), team celebrated Republic Day at Bharati Research Station along with
other expedition members. Indian Flag
and Indian Naval Ensign was hoisted by the INHD team at Antarctica on January
26th displaying the operational reach of the Indian Navy for
undertaking benign operations.
The Indian
Navy also tweeted pictures of the INHD team members celebrating the Republic
Day in Antarctica."Celebrating RepublicDay2024 in Antarctica, showcasing
operational prowess in distant waters IndianNavy's Hydrographic survey team
from the Indian Naval Hydrographic Department, comprising Lt
CdrRishabhRawat&ManjeetPO(HY) at Bharati Research Station hoisted the
tricolor," the Navy said in a tweet.
A Hydrographic survey team from the NHD,
comprising Lt CdrRishabhRawat (Officer in charge) and ManjeetPO(HY) reached the
Indian Antarctica station Bharati on January 17 to undertake a Hydrographic survey off
Larsemann Hills. The mission is part of the 43 Indian Scientific Expedition to
Antarctica (ISEA).
