Alltrans Shipping and Logisitcs LLP embarked on a new journey with CWC in Thoothukudi.

Alltrans Shipping and Logisitcs LLP embarked on a new journey partnering with Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC), A Govt of India Undertaking in Thoothukudi. The vision of the company as envisaged by its Management Team, was to expand its operations in CFS and Warehousing verticals. By venturing into this strategic alliance the vision has got a start for the company to foray into this vertical.

22nd Jan 2024 was the day when this dream and efforts towards this dream saw the dawn of this new chapter. The day started with Pooja at 4 am at the CFS followed by the official inauguration of the CFS. Mr. Rajesh Balaji and his wife Mrs. Vanitha Rajesh, Directors of Alltrans Group, presided over the Pooja joined by other Directors of the company.

The occasion was graced by the presence of Mr. Rahul Gaikwad, RM CWC, RO Chennai who was also the Chief Guest for the occasion. Mr. J.V. Ashokan was the Guest of Honour who is also one of the Directors with Alltrans Shipping and Logistics LLP. Mr. S. Padmanabhan, Director Sattva Group. was also present to grace the occasion along with other Directors of the company viz., Mr Raghavanandam, Mr. K. Raghavan, Mr. Ravee Tittei and Mr. Nilesh Thadani.

Mr. Rahul Gaikwad said that this was a one of its kind alliance where CWC was looking to partner with a local operator who knew the market and also had the capability to run the facility. CWC had initiated a tendering process which culminated after rounds of negotiations and deliberations before finally awarding this Alliance to Alltrans Shipping and Logistics LLP for a period of 10 years. He further said that they were confident of the capabilities of Alltrans to execute CFS operations as required.

Mr. S.Padmanabhan, a veteran in the CFS space congratulated Alltrans team and CWC on this stupendous initiative to partner with local expertise and run this facility for the benefit of the Trade. He further said that he has known the Management team of Alltrans and that he was confident that the local trade and trade bodies will benefit from this facility. He also flagged off the first export container from the CFS on the inaugural day to mark commencement of operations.

The inaugural ceremony concluded with handing over of plaques to distinguished Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and other distinguished guests on the dais to commemorate the event and mark its opening. There was also some commemoration to few other select individuals who were part of the event process including the Management Team by Mr. J.V. Ashokan.

This 6.5 acre facility will cater to the local fraternity and to the hinterland of Tirupur and Coimbatore from where cargo will be garnered. It will have 29500 Sq.ft of warehouses to cater to Export carting and host import cargo. It will have 1 Lac Sq.ft of Import Laden Yard and will be able to offer state of the art facility with smooth operations. Strategically located on the Madurai Bye Pass Road it will be able to cover the distance of about 18 kms to the port of Thoothukudi without any issue.
