Fleet Management Limited (FLEET) successfully hosted a networking event
at ITC Maratha, Mumbai, on 26 February, bringing together key figures in the
maritime industry to discuss seafarer wellbeing and broader sustainability
topics.
In attendance were Johannah
Christensen, Chief Executive Officer, Global Maritime Forum, and Shyam Jagannathan
IAS, Director General of Shipping, Government of India, among other
distinguished opinion leaders, lending their expertise and support to the
cause.
The event saw a series of insightful sessions, including an introductory
speech by Deepak Correa, Chief Operating Officer of FLEET India, a keynote
speech by Johannah Christensen, highlighting crucial aspects of seafarer
wellbeing and happiness, and special remarks from Shyam Jagannathan IAS,
shedding light on the Government of India’s ‘Maritime Vision’ and underscoring
the importance of sustainable practices in the Indian maritime industry.
