World Tourism Day 2025: Goa rolls out month-long immersive experiential programme
Ahead of World Tourism Day 2025 to be observed on September 27, the Goa Tourism Department has launched a month-long programme in collaboration with the Travel and Tourism Association of Goa, SKAL International Goa, and Yuva Tourism Clubs to celebrate the state's dominance in tourism. The initiative will reflect Goa's growing focus on regenerative and experiential tourism by highlighting the state's heritage, biodiversity, local communities, and culinary traditions.

World Tourism Day 2025: Goa rolls out month-long immersive experiential programme

As the initiative commenced in the run up to the occasion, events such as a Heritage Walk at the Aguada Port and Jail Complex, a 'Picnic by the Forest Stream' in Bicholim, and a guided Nature Experience at Carambolim Lake were held. Designed to promote Goa's vision, the events offered students, stakeholders and visitors a chance to connect with the state's history, biodiversity and local charm.

Participants explored the historic Aguada complex, relaxed amid the tranquil forest waters of Bicholim, and engaged with the vibrant wetland ecosystem at Carambolim. Together, these activities reflect Goa Tourism's "Beyond Beaches" narrative, which places conservation, sustainability and community engagement at the core of its strategy.
