MoA exchange between IME(I) and IMU Navi Mumbai; Training Module for handling Tankers

During the technical session and Annual meet of IMEI at MCA-BKC on 27 February 2026, a Memorandum of agreement (MoA) within the existing framework of an existing 'original MOU', was exchanged between IME(India) and IMU Navi Mumbai Campus (NMC) to handle practical training module for IME(I) for Basic Oil -Chemical tanker, Basic Gas tanker and Basic IGF courses which require specified technical fire-fighting resources.

The exchange of documents happened between Dr(Capt) Mihir Chandra, Campus Director of IMU-NMC, and Sri Vivek. D. Prasad, Honorary General Secretary, IME (I). It was solemnised in the august presence of Dr Malini Shankar, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor IMU, Sri Kaushik Seal, President IMEI, Sri Sanjeev Mehra, Chairman IMEI, Sri M.S.Pal Principal IMEI NERUL, Navi Mumbai and Marine Industry doyens.
