Sonowal told delegates of the All Cachar Karimganj
Hailakandi Students’ Association (ACKHSA) on Saturday 10 Feb that the
foundation stone of the facilities will be laid in Badarpur and Karimganj
before or after the Lok Sabha polls.
ACKHSA chief advisor Rupam Nandi Purkayasthya on
Sunday said a seven-member team met Sonowal at his residence in New Delhi on
Saturday and submitted a memorandum to him seeking the fulfillment of two
demands , including the setting up of cargo terminals in Karimganj and Badarpur
and of a govt homeopathic college in Cachar under the Ayurveda, Yoga,
Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy ministry.
Tambaram mayor K Vasanthakumari inaugurated the
construction of an additional building for a municipal corporation school in
Hasthinapuram, the improvement of the Madambakkam pond and its perimeter wall
under the Amrut 2.0 scheme, and the opening of a fair price shop in East
Tambaram, costing Rs 10 lakh.

Sekar Babu laid the foundation stone for a police station at the Kalaignar
Centenary Bus Terminus in Kilambakkam. The police station is being constructed
at a cost of Rs 14.30 crore. An eatery providing quality food at affordable
