Named OneNCR, the
2.1 lakh sq. ft hub represents an investment of around ₹50 crore and is
designed to anchor the company’s same-day and next-day delivery operations
under Shadowfax Prime. The facility is equipped with an advanced automated
sorter capable of processing up to 48,000 shipments per hour—among the highest
throughput benchmarks in the domestic logistics industry.
At peak capacity, the centre can handle up to 10 lakh
shipments per day, positioning it as a central engine for high-velocity parcel
flows across North India.
A defining feature
of the facility is its “single-touch” operating model. Nearly 80 per cent of
shipments are directly manifested for last-mile delivery at the origin point,
reducing intermediate handling, lowering error rates and compressing transit
timelines. The hub is also integrated with up to 80 direct linehaul routes,
allowing freight to bypass multiple intermediate nodes and move more
efficiently across the network. Operationally, the system supports over 3,000 unique
origin-level sorts. In addition to the fully automated core line,
semi-automated lines can process up to 20,000 shipments per hour, while
specialised bag and box sortation lines add capacity of up to 6,000 shipments
per hour.
Shadowfax
leadership said the investment reflects a strategy centred on deeper network
ownership and infrastructure control to drive long-term efficiency in the
express segment. With India’s D2C and e-commerce sectors continuing to scale,
the NCR facility is expected to strengthen delivery reliability, improve speed
benchmarks and enhance cost competitiveness for brands and marketplaces
operating on the platform.
