Held under the theme “Navigating North India’s
Global Trade: Breaking Barriers – Building Bridges,” the forum aims to
highlight the need for improved connectivity, stronger collaboration and new
opportunities across the maritime, logistics and intermodal transport
sectors. Mr. Sasi Nair, President of the Northern India Steamer Agents
Association, will deliver the Welcome and Theme Address, outlining the growing
importance of North India in India’s international trade ecosystem and the need
for stronger intermodal logistics linkages.
The event will feature keynote addresses by Mr. Sanjay Swarup, Chairman
and Managing Director of Container Corporation of India Ltd (CONCOR), and Mr.
Harshit Mittal, AVP – Invest Maritime at the Ministry of Ports, Shipping &
Waterways. They are expected to share insights on the evolving logistics
landscape, maritime investments and initiatives to strengthen multimodal
connectivity.
The forum will host
two industry-focused panel discussions.
The first session, “Strengthening North India
Intermodal Corridors & Ports,” will explore strategies to improve cargo
movement efficiency and strengthen port connectivity for the region’s exporters
and importers. The session will feature speakers from leading organisations,
including Container Corporation of India Ltd, Ministry of Railways (India), APM
Terminals, DP World, CNH Industrial and Association of Container Train
Operators.
The second session, “FTAs, IMEC & BRICS – Protecting
Global Trade Disruptions,” will examine how geopolitical developments and new
economic partnerships are shaping global trade resilience. The discussion will
include speakers from RITES Ltd, Pristine Logistics and Infraprojects Pvt.
Ltd., Federation of Indian Export Organisations and Maersk Line India Pvt. Ltd.
The event will
conclude with a light entertainment segment by renowned poet and performer
Popular Meeruthi, an internationally recognised kavi and television stage
performer.
The NISAA Business Forum
2026 aims to create a platform for dialogue between industry stakeholders and
policymakers, fostering collaboration to enhance North India’s role in global
maritime trade and logistics.
