According to a release from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO),
the VGRCs aim to enhance regional industrial growth, attract sector-specific
investments, and strengthen global engagements in line with the vision of
Viksit Bharat@2047. The conferences are intended to transform and prepare local
industries to become global players by securing wider market recognition and
partnerships. The Regional Conferences serve as platforms to showcase regional
achievements, introduce new initiatives, and co-create Gujarat’s growth story
by empowering regional economies, fostering innovation, and facilitating
strategic investments throughout the state. The results of the VGRCs are
expected to be displayed at the next Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit. This VGRC will focus on districts from South
Gujarat, including Bharuch, Dang, Navsari, Surat, Tapi, and Valsad, along with
Central Gujarat districts such as Ahmedabad, Anand, Chhotaudepur, Dahod,
Gandhinagar, Kheda, Mahisagar, Narmada, Panchmahal, and Vadodara. Various
seminars will be held on sectors including Chemicals & Petrochemicals,
Textiles & Apparels, Gems & Jewellery, Pharmaceuticals, Green Energy
Ecosystem, Agro & Food Processing, ESDM, IT & ITeS, Biotech/Biopharma,
Aerospace & Defence, Fintech, Auto & Auto Components, Skill
Development, Startups, MSMEs, and Tourism & Culture.
Coinciding with the
occasion of Gujarat Sthapana Divas, the event will also feature the Vibrant
Gujarat Regional Exhibition, which includes the Vendor Development Programme,
International Reverse Buyer Seller Meet, and the Udyami Mela. The VGRC for the North Gujarat region was
conducted on October 9 and 10, 2025, at Ganpat University, Mehsana. Inaugurated
by Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, it highlighted key sectors such as Agro
& Food Processing, Auto & Auto components, Green Energy Ecosystem, and
Engineering. This conference aimed to attract targeted investments and promote
balanced regional growth, supporting Gujarat’s commitment to empowering
grassroots industries. Earlier in the year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi
inaugurated the VGRC for the Kutch & Saurashtra region held on January 11
and 12 at Marwadi University, Rajkot. Partner countries at that event included
Japan, South Korea, Rwanda, and Ukraine. Focus sectors were Ceramics,
Engineering, Ports & Logistics, Fisheries, Petrochemicals, Agro & Food
Processing, Minerals, and the Green Energy Ecosystem.
