Singh Bisen, Deputy
Director General (STCW); Shri Praveen Nair, Deputy Director General (Training);
Capt. P.C. Meena, Deputy Director General (Crew); and Capt. Bipin Kumar,
Nautical Surveyor-cum-DDG (Tech.), among others. The
strategic collaboration seeks to strengthen accreditation, quality assurance,
and capacity-building mechanisms across
DG Shipping-approved Maritime Training Institutes (MTIs) and Recruitment and Placement Services
License (RPSL) companies by leveraging NABET’s expertise in
accreditation frameworks, third-party assessments, and regulatory
evaluations. The partnership is
expected to drive policy alignment, promote institutional excellence, and
facilitate the adoption of global best practices within India’s maritime
training and recruitment ecosystem.
By fostering enhanced governance, transparent evaluation systems, and
continuous quality improvement, the MoU marks an important milestone in
advancing safer, more efficient, and globally benchmarked maritime operations
in India. This collaboration further
underscores DG Shipping’s commitment to building a future-ready maritime
workforce and strengthening India’s position as a leading global maritime
nation.
