Formoso highlighted
the strategic importance of Nhava Sheva to PSA BDP’s India business, supported
by PSA India’s flagship PSA Mumbai terminal and PSA Ameya’s container freight
station (CFS) and warehousing operations. These facilities enable the company
to provide integrated port, warehousing, freight forwarding and logistics
solutions. With more than 40% of
India’s container trade passing through Nhava Sheva, the location remains a
critical hub in the country’s maritime logistics ecosystem. Formoso commended
the people and organisations working around the clock to sustain operations and
support India’s economic growth. The
Mumbai visit concluded a week-long tour covering Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Pune
and Mumbai, during which Formoso engaged with company teams and customers to
discuss business priorities, gather feedback and review support measures amid
the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.
During the visit to Visakhapatnam, Formoso also toured Container
Corporation of India Ltd’s (CONCOR) railhead at the Visakhapatnam Multi Modal
Logistics Park. He noted the growth in rail volumes and ongoing infrastructure
expansion, while discussions focused on opportunities to increase PSA BDP’s
rail movements through the facility.
The visits
underscore PSA BDP’s focus on strengthening customer relationships, improving
multimodal connectivity and expanding integrated logistics solutions across
India.
