The CI9 service is scheduled to commence operations on
December 5, 2025, operating on a 28-day round voyage with vessels in the
2,500–2,800 TEU range. The weekly fixed rotation will cover Nansha – Shekou –
Laem Chabang – Port Klang (West Port) – Chennai – Port Klang (North Port) –
Nansha.
The direct call at Chennai provides an
important gateway for shipments serving the industrial regions of southern
India.
Interasia Lines said the launch of CI9 reflects its
commitment to delivering reliable, customer-focused solutions with expanded
scheduling options. The new service is expected to support growing trade
volumes on the South China–India corridor, one of the fastest-growing
intra-Asia trade lanes.
The CI9 launch
follows other network expansions by the carrier in 2025, including the
introduction of the Korea–China–Indonesia (KCI) service and an ongoing
newbuilding programme for six 2,900 TEU container vessels, reinforcing
Interasia Lines’ long-term growth strategy in the intra-Asia market.
