Shri Ambika Yoga Kutir, a pioneer in the field of selfless yoga service and a prominent institute under the Ministry of AYUSH, participated in the prestigious three-day Milaap ITF Seafarer's Expo 2026. This event, organized by the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) in collaboration with Indian maritime unions (NUSI, MUI, FSUI), marked the first time this global expo was held in India at Domestic Cruize Terminal, Mazgaon, Mumbai.
The three-day exhibition was inaugurated by Director General Shipping Shri Shyam Jagannathan and ITF India General Secretary M Raghavaiah. Dignitaries from Shri Ambika Yoga Kutir Shri Prakash Pawar, Shri Sudhir Sawant, Shri Nagesh Sawant, Shri Shekhar Petkar and Shri Nazir Upadhye.

Advocacy of Yoga Practice:
Seafarers face the issues like sea-blindness, isolations, stress, anxiety, inherent to long voyages. Representatives from Shri Ambika Yoga Kutir provided seafarers with the information about the Yoga and help them understand the benefits of Yoga for their physical and mental well-being. They explained the use of Pranayam (breathing techniques) and Shuddhi Kriya (body cleansing techniques) to build mental resilience for these issues.
The concept “Sagar Mein Yog” was introduced to them, that will act as a tool for Seafarers in the isolated and congested situation on the ship during voyage. Shri Ambika Yoga Kutir re-affirmed its commitment to the global spread of Yoga and the welfare of those, who keep world’s trade moving.
