The inaugural movement saw the loading and dispatch of
80 twenty-foot domestic containers from Mysore to Kolkata, marking the
beginning of a new logistics corridor that is expected to enhance cargo
transportation efficiency and provide seamless connectivity between southern
and eastern India.
This milestone reinforces CONCOR’s ongoing efforts to strengthen
integrated multimodal logistics infrastructure and create more efficient supply
chain solutions for industries and businesses across the country. The service
is anticipated to facilitate faster cargo movement, optimize transportation
costs, and offer customers greater operational flexibility through dependable
rail-based freight services. The
commencement of this container movement from Mysore also highlights the growing
importance of Multi Modal Logistics Parks (MMLPs) in streamlining freight
operations and supporting India’s logistics modernization agenda. By leveraging
its extensive rail network and terminal infrastructure, CONCOR continues to play
a pivotal role in promoting sustainable and efficient cargo transportation.
Industry stakeholders expect the new service to
stimulate regional trade, improve market access for manufacturers and exporters
in Karnataka, and contribute to the development of a more resilient and
interconnected logistics ecosystem. With this latest achievement, CONCOR
reaffirms its commitment to delivering reliable, customer-centric, and
technology-driven logistics solutions while supporting the Government of
India’s vision of enhancing logistics efficiency and reducing overall supply
chain costs through greater multimodal integration.
The successful launch of the Mysore–Shalimar domestic
container service marks another important step in CONCOR’s journey towards
building a stronger, more connected, and future-ready logistics network for the
nation.
