JNPA Handles 2.25 Million TEUs in Q1 FY27, Cargo Traffic Rises 15%

During the April-June 2026 period, JNPA handled 2.25 million TEUs, registering a 15.36% year-on-year growth compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. The port also recorded 27.84 million tonnes of total cargo, marking a 15.04% increase over the same period last year. The robust performance underscores JNPA’s continued focus on enhancing operational efficiency, strengthening port infrastructure, and facilitating seamless cargo movement. The growth also highlights the port’s expanding role in supporting India’s international trade and logistics ecosystem.      The strong first-quarter performance positions JNPA on a positive growth trajectory for the remainder of FY 2026-27, reinforcing its status as one of India’s leading container gateways.
