Sources identify the buyer as C Maritime, the Cyprus-based owner behind
the C Management platform. The company has taken the 2009-built C Antares and
the 2008-built C Aurora, both Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding-built capesizes. The vessels were previously trading as Maran
Happiness and Maran Argonaut. They are now managed by Geneva-registered C
Management, according to Equasis. Equasis lists the registered owners as
Parcape IV TT1 and Parcape IV TT2, both at the same address as Norwegian
shipbroking house Pareto, suggesting Norwegian brokers may have been involved
in the deal. The ships were among the older units in Maria
Angelicoussis-controlled Maran Dry Management’s 35-strong capesize fleet, which
has an average age of around 10 years. C Management’s capesize footprint started
with C Europe, which was previously reported sold into a Pareto-linked
structure in December and is registered under Parcape III TT. The C Management
name first surfaced in 2024 with a 2012-built ultramax.
