TVS SCS and Sankyu forge partnership for domestic and overseas expansion, Japanese firm to buy 0.5% stake
TVS Supply Chain Solutions and Japan’s Sankyu Inc have signed a strategic MoU to unlock growth opportunities across supply chain and engineering services, creating a platform to target key industrial sectors through integrated service offerings.

TVS SCS and Sankyu forge partnership for domestic and overseas expansion, Japanese firm to buy 0.5% stake

Under the framework of the agreement, Sankyu intends to acquire a 0.5% equity stake in TVS Supply Chain Solutions, subject to customary regulatory approvals. The operational scope combines the Indian entity’s supply chain infrastructure, market presence and customer networks with Sankyu’s engineering capabilities, logistics services and existing ties across the Japanese industrial ecosystem. Both companies will explore opportunities to deliver enhanced value through a broader portfolio of solutions spanning logistics, warehousing, transportation, engineering services, maintenance and on-site industrial support.     The collaboration will initially focus on opportunities in India, where both companies see significant potential to support manufacturing and industrial customers, with more than 1,400 Japanese companies already operating in the country. Over time, the scope will widen into overseas markets across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and other international territories where both companies maintain established footprints. Both entities will establish a joint steering committee to identify growth opportunities, oversee strategic initiatives and support the development of integrated solutions.      R Dinesh, Chairman of TVS Supply Chain Solutions, said the partnership represents an important step in the company’s strategy to strengthen its capabilities and create greater value for customers, adding that Sankyu’s engineering expertise and deep relationships across the Japanese industrial ecosystem complement TVS SCS’s integrated supply chain capabilities, strong customer relationships and market presence.      Kimihiro Nakamura, President and CEO of Sankyu Inc, said that since its inception in 1918, Sankyu has been dedicated to supporting the progress of the manufacturing sector, underpinned by its core philosophy of valuing its people. He said the company is profoundly honoured to enter into this partnership with TVS SCS, an organisation that shares its philosophy and commitment to the highest ethical standards, adding that the strong strategic alignment between the two companies positions them to achieve collective growth in the global market and contribute to sustainable industrial development.

TVS Supply Chain Solutions is part of the TVS Mobility Group and is one of India’s largest integrated supply chain companies, operating in 26 countries, employing over 16,500 people and working with 100 Fortune Global 500 customers across sectors including automotive, industrial, consumer, tech infrastructure and rail.
