Headquartered in Hamburg, SAL Heavy Lift is a world-leading operator in heavy-lift and project cargo shipping. Under their previous collaboration, SAL had ordered five multi-purpose heavy lift vessels from Wuhu Shipyard, among which three units had already been delivered. The newly ordered vessels feature an extra-large single cargo hold with class-leading volumetric capacity and hatch opening dimensions among peer-tonnage heavy lift vessels worldwide. The ship type supports open-top loading and seamless transportation of oversized and ultra-heavy cargoes.   Equipped with two customised large-scale hydraulic cranes, the vessel will have a maximum combined lifting capacity of 1,600 tons, granting it powerful ocean-going heavy-cargo transportation capabilities.   In parallel with its vessel order breakthrough, Wuhu Shipyard has also established strategic procurement cooperation with three internationally renowned marine equipment suppliers, further consolidating its global supply chain system and supporting the high-quality construction of high-end and eco-friendly vessels.

The shipyard sealed a long-term strategic procurement agreement with Glomax. Leveraging the supplier’s robust technical expertise and proven global delivery track record, the partnership will deliver stable and reliable delivery guarantees for Wuhu Shipyard’s ongoing and future newbuilding orders, underpinning consistent project progress and construction quality.

Wuhu Shipyard also entered into a strategic cooperation deal with Finland-based Auramarine, a globally recognized specialist in marine fuel supply and auxiliary systems. Auramarine will empower the shipyard to optimize its green vessel supply chain layout and strengthen technical support for the research and construction of next-generation clean-energy ships.   Furthermore, a strategic procurement agreement was signed with Circor, a leading global provider of integrated fluid control solutions. The cooperation will provide solid technical and operational support for the fluid control systems of Wuhu Shipyard’s newly-built vessels, improving the overall safety, stability and intelligent level of vessel equipment.
