Announced at the company’s Advance 2025 annual
event, the platform continuously learns, adapts, and makes real-time decisions
to optimise global supply chains at scale.
Going beyond traditional automation, the Agentic
Supply Chain leverages advanced AI to understand context, self-optimise
processes, and act on insights across planning, procurement, delivery, and
replenishment. The company’s digital workforce—dubbed the Always-On Logistics
Planner—already performs millions of previously unautomatable shipping tasks.
“Companies in every
industry are under increasing pressure to employ AI or get left behind. There’s
no better place to start than your supply chain,” said Arun Rajan, Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer at C.H.
Robinson.
The platform promises users faster shipment planning,
smarter cost optimisation, enhanced visibility and control, and greater
agility—freeing up human teams to focus on higher-value work. By combining its
Lean operating model, the world’s largest logistics dataset, and deep industry
expertise, C.H. Robinson aims to deliver measurable efficiency and resilience
to global supply networks.
Mike Neill, Chief Technology Officer, noted the system’s ability
to unlock valuable real-time data. “In September alone, a single AI agent
captured 318,000 freight tracking updates from calls—data that now fuels
predictive ETAs and optimised delivery flows,” he said.
Chief Executive
Officer Dave Bozeman described
the initiative as a continuation of the company’s legacy of innovation:
“Instead of chasing disruption, we’re engineering it—and engineering it from
within.”
Building on AI models first deployed for thousands of
customers since 2023, the Agentic Supply Chain marks a major leap forward in
creating smarter, faster, and more resilient logistics ecosystems.
