During the meeting, Mr. Vinod Solomon, Secretary
General of SICCI, briefed the Minister on a series of transformative
initiatives aimed at accelerating Tamil Nadu’s industrial and economic growth.
Among the key proposals discussed was the establishment of a Drone &
Aviation Cluster at Chettinad, a project envisioned to attract substantial
investments and position Tamil Nadu as the Drone Capital of South Asia.
The interaction
also focused on several strategic growth initiatives, including the creation of
a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Applied Semiconductors, expansion of EV and
mobility projects, and leveraging Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) to strengthen
industrial development and global trade opportunities for the state. Mr. Naveen Prakash, Member of the SICCI
Executive Committee, emphasized the importance of holistic engagement with the
Tamil Diaspora to enhance investment promotion and trade facilitation. He also
presented the SICCI Coffee Table Book on Tamil Diaspora to the Hon’ble Minister
during the meeting.

innovation, attract investments, and further strengthen Tamil Nadu’s position
as a leading industrial hub in India.
