The inaugural container rake was flagged off by Mr.
Saurabh Jain, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Sr. DCM), Kota Division, in
the presence of officials from CWC’s Regional Offices in Chandigarh and Jaipur,
along with representatives from ITC Limited and SCALAR. The new rail service is
aimed at providing customers with a reliable, efficient, and cost-effective
freight transportation solution, while enhancing connectivity between northern
and southern India. The initiative
underscores CWC’s continued focus on expanding rail-based cargo movement as
part of its integrated logistics strategy. By shifting more freight to rail, the
corporation seeks to reduce logistics costs, improve supply chain efficiency,
and promote environmentally sustainable transportation. The
launch also aligns with the Government of India’s PM Gati Shakti National
Master Plan, which aims to strengthen multimodal infrastructure, improve
logistics efficiency, and create a resilient, integrated supply chain network
across the country.
With this
milestone, CWC further reinforces its commitment to offering seamless
end-to-end logistics solutions and supporting India’s vision of a modern,
sustainable, and globally competitive logistics ecosystem.
