Survey on Gender Equality in the Indian Maritime Industry
The survey aims to gather insights from employers concerning gender equality
practices within their organizations, as well as from female seafarers and
female employees working on shore to understand their experiences and
perspectives within the maritime industry.
"We believe that
understanding the current status of gender equality in the Indian Maritime
Industry is vital to fostering a more diverse and inclusive workplace,"
said Sanjam Sahi Gupta, Founder at Maritime SheEO.
This survey, supported by the office of the Director General of Shipping, Government of India, seeks to identify areas that require attention and develop initiatives that promote diversity and inclusivity within the maritime sector.
