In his new role, Mukhi will oversee the terminal’s commercial
activities, including customer relationships, business development and efforts
to grow cargo volumes. His responsibilities are expected to include
strengthening partnerships with shipping lines, exporters, importers and
logistics stakeholders. The
appointment comes as APM Terminals Pipavav continues to enhance its position as
a key gateway for containerised and other cargo on India’s western coast. The
terminal handles containers, bulk and liquid cargo and serves trade flows
connected to major domestic and international markets. Mukhi’s appointment is expected to support
the terminal’s efforts to identify new business opportunities and strengthen
its presence across key trade segments. A stronger commercial focus could also
help the terminal respond to changing customer requirements and evolving
logistics patterns.
APM Terminals Pipavav is part of APM Terminals, the global port and
terminal operating arm of A.P. Moller–Maersk. The company continues to focus on
improving terminal efficiency, connectivity and customer service across its
network.
