Adani Ports’ Mundra Port has set a new benchmark in India’s port and logistics sector by achieving multiple historic milestones in October 2026. Mundra Port handled its highest-ever monthly cargo volume of 20.27 million metric tonnes (MMT), becoming the first port in India to handle such a large cargo volume in a single month.
This historic achievement was not limited to overall cargo volumes. The port’s container business also recorded its highest-ever monthly throughput of 8.59 lakh TEUs in October. The performance reflects Mundra Port’s steadily growing container-handling capabilities and its robust infrastructure capacity to efficiently support international trade.
Mundra’s CT3 also achieved a record monthly handling of 3.18 lakh TEUs, surpassing its previous record of 3.10 lakh TEUs achieved in September 2026. This marks the highest-ever monthly volume handled by a single container terminal in India. In addition, the T2 Terminal recorded its highest-ever monthly throughput of 1.55 lakh TEUs.
Mundra also achieved a new milestone in the dry cargo segment. The Dry Cargo Terminal handled 0.79 MMT of fertiliser in October 2026, marking its highest-ever monthly fertiliser volume.
Playing a vital role in Mundra Port’s extensive and efficient multimodal logistics network, SPRH also delivered a record performance. SPRH handled its highest-ever monthly volume of 1.57 lakh TEUs, surpassing the previous record of 1.54 lakh TEUs achieved in December 2025. The team also recorded its highest-ever exchange of 246 TEUs per rake.
