CCBA Holds 68th AGM; Reaffirms Commitment to Trade Facilitation and Members’ Interests
The 68th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Chennai Customs Brokers Association (CCBA) was successfully held at Hotel Ambassador Pallava, Chennai,
President Shri S. Natarajan, while presenting the Annual Report for 2025–2026, highlighted the Association’s major activities, initiatives and achievements during the year. He outlined CCBA’s continuous engagement with Customs, Ports, Terminals, Custodians, CFSs, Shipping Lines, Partner Government Agencies and other stakeholders on important policy and operational matters.
Secretary Shri R.N. Sekar briefed the members on the current operational and procedural challenges at Sea and Air Cargo and the sustained efforts being made by CCBA to resolve them. He explained that the Association continues to take up members’ issues at the appropriate levels with Customs and other concerned authorities and stakeholders to find practical and timely solutions.
During the interactive session, President Shri S. Natarajan also briefed members on CCBA’s sustained efforts against the collection of Lift-on/Lift-off (LO/LO) charges through nominated Empty Container Depots.
The AGM concluded with CCBA reaffirming its commitment to protecting the interests of Customs Brokers, strengthening stakeholder engagement and working towards a transparent, efficient, cost-effective and trade-facilitative customs clearance ecosystem.
