engagement, and strengthening security and regulatory coordination. The newly
established Visitor Centre is designed to provide a professional and welcoming
environment for customers, business partners, government agencies, and industry
delegations, showcasing the terminal’s capabilities and commitment to service

evacuation, reduce congestion, and optimize logistics efficiency across the
terminal.
As cargo volumes continue to rise and trade demand
expands, the upgraded facilities will play a crucial role in supporting PSA
Mumbai’s growing capacity and operational readiness. The development aligns
with broader national initiatives focused on improving ease of doing business,
enhancing port-led logistics performance, and strengthening India’s position in
global supply chains.
Speaking on the occasion, officials highlighted the importance of
collaborative infrastructure development in creating resilient and efficient
maritime gateways capable of meeting future trade requirements. The project
underscores PSA Mumbai’s commitment to leveraging world-class infrastructure,
digitalization, and stakeholder partnerships to deliver superior service
standards. With these latest
additions, PSA Mumbai continues to strengthen its role as a key gateway for
India’s international trade, providing enhanced operational capabilities while
supporting the country’s vision of developing globally competitive and
sustainable port infrastructure. The
inauguration of the Visitor Centre and Customs & Security Complex
represents another important step in PSA Mumbai’s journey towards creating a
smarter, more secure, and highly efficient container terminal equipped to serve
the evolving needs of global commerce.
