The deployment marks a
significant step towards the adoption of alternative-fuel solutions for
intensive industrial freight movement in Karnataka. The LNG trucks are designed
to deliver the performance, efficiency and long-haul capability required for
demanding commercial applications.
According to Blue Energy Motors, its LNG trucks offer up to 20% better
fuel efficiency, helping fleet operators improve operating economics while
reducing the carbon intensity of their transportation operations. Thimmaraj
Kakarla, Managing Partner, Bombay Logistics, said the company’s decision to
adopt LNG was driven by the need for a practical and commercially viable
solution. “For us, the move to LNG is about finding a practical solution that
works on the road and makes commercial sense. The performance and fuel
efficiency of the Blue Energy Motors trucks were important considerations,
while the Blue Energy Motors team’s support throughout the deployment, from
vehicle handover and route planning to on-ground assistance, made the
transition seamless,” he said. He added that the
deployment for JSW Steel represents an important step towards improving
operating efficiency while reducing the carbon footprint of freight movement.
AnandMimani, CEO, EV & New
Energy, Blue Energy Motors, said the company was pleased to support Bombay
Logistics in deploying LNG trucks for demanding industrial operations. “Our
priority is simple: deliver the performance and reliability the customer needs
while making the shift to cleaner freight practical,” he said.
The deployment is being supported by the leadership team at Bombay
Logistics, including RaghavendraGhodke, Managing Partner, and Deewakar Kakarla,
General Manager, who continue to focus on operational efficiency and the
adoption of alternative-fuel solutions across the company’s freight operations.
Blue Energy Motors currently
has more than 1,400 trucks operating across key freight routes in India. The
company has also crossed 100 million green kilometres on Indian roads and
reports having helped avoid more than 30,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions,
equivalent to the carbon absorption capacity of nearly 1.2 million trees. The company, which describes itself as
India’s No. 1 Green Truck Brand, is expanding its presence across LNG and
electric heavy-duty transportation.
The latest deployment with Bombay Logistics adds to Blue Energy Motors’
growing experience in industrial and freight applications, highlighting the
increasing role of LNG and other alternative-fuel technologies in supporting
more efficient and lower-carbon commercial transportation.
