The state’s extensive coastline and network of rivers provide opportunities to strengthen both coastal and inland water transport.    The Board also reviewed initiatives related to port development and supporting infrastructure, with a focus on improving operational efficiency and creating stronger links between ports, industrial centres and logistics networks.    Better integration of ports and waterways is expected to support the movement of bulk and industrial cargo while providing exporters and businesses with additional logistics options.    The review forms part of Odisha’s broader efforts to expand its maritime economy and strengthen infrastructure to support future trade and logistics growth.
