Tejas Cargo Deploys Electric Truck for Dalmia Cement Operations in Odisha
The deployment
brings together Dalmia Cement, Tejas Cargo and Blue Energy Motors to support
lower-emission logistics and more sustainable supply chains, with freight
transportation increasingly recognised as a key contributor to Scope 3
emissions. Tejas Cargo Chairman &
Managing Director Chander Bindal said the deployment would contribute to the
adoption of cleaner and more efficient freight solutions. Anand Mimani, CEO –
EV & New Energy Business, Blue Energy Motors, said electric heavy-duty trucks
are increasingly demonstrating the performance, reliability and economics
required for commercial operations. Blue
Energy Motors said more than 1,400 green heavy-duty trucks from its LNG and
electric portfolio are operating across Indian freight corridors, collectively
covering over 122 million green kilometres and contributing to a reported
reduction of more than 33,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.
