The EXIM operations were inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri V. D. Satheesan, in the presence of the Hon’ble Minister for Industries, Information Technology and Commerce, Shri P. K. Kunhalikutty.   The commencement of direct EXIM operations marks a new chapter in Adani Ports’ Vizhinjam journey and strengthens the port’s role in connecting Indian cargo with global markets. With export and import operations now underway, Vizhinjamis positioned to emerge as an important gateway for international trade and maritime connectivity.

Strategically located close to major international shipping routes, Vizhinjam International Seaport, operated by Adani Ports, offers deep-water capabilities and significant potential to serve as a key maritime gateway for India. The commencement of EXIM operations is expected to provide exporters and importers with enhanced access to global shipping networks and facilitate more efficient cargo movement.  The development also reinforces Adani Ports’ commitment to strengthening India’s maritime infrastructure and global trade connectivity, while supporting the growth of Kerala as an important hub for international commerce.   With direct EXIM operations now commencing, Vizhinjam is set to further strengthen India’s connection with global markets, unlock new trade opportunities and contribute to the country’s maritime growth story.
