The meeting
reviewed DFC operations, construction, maintenance, asset reliability, safety,
project progress and organisational performance. Tiwari stressed a coordinated,
outcome-oriented approach focused on improving efficiency, reliability and
productivity. Discussions also covered the proposed new East-West Dedicated
Freight Corridor (EWDFC), including its alignment and the way forward for
planning and development. The MD
emphasised greater mechanisation and automation in maintenance, modern
construction methods, pre-cast solutions, and wider use of AI and digital
technologies to strengthen asset performance and decision-making. He also called for stronger knowledge
management and institutional memory through a comprehensive digital repository
of drawings and critical project data, supported by robust backup systems.
Officers were urged to focus on quality,
cost-effectiveness, timely execution and operational excellence while
leveraging technology and innovation to enhance DFCCIL’s capabilities.
